ChampionChip is a timing device which, provided it is fitted correctly, will accurately measure your time from the second you cross the special mat at the start line until the second you cross the finish mat. For further info see the ChampionChip website

BEFORE YOU RUN

In your race pack you will receive your RACE NUMBER and a special ENVELOPE which contains your ChampionChip and Velcro ankle strap.

To assemble:

1. Thread the Velcro strap through the side wings of the ChampionChip (See Pictures) below

	For your comfort ~ Rough side UP Smooth side DOWN

2. Attach the strap to either ankle with the long central barrel pointing to the ground (See Picture below). Please do not attach the strap too tightly as your ankles may swell during the run (wear the ankle strap with the soft side against your sock/skin). We suggest you wear the ankle strap over a sock to avoid chafing during the event.

Do NOT wear the chip on your wrist.

 AFTER YOU FINISH

Do NOT jump over the finish mats. Please keep moving once you have crossed the Finish Line, remove your ChampionChip and Velcro ankle strap and deposit in the bins as directed by the Stewards.

The swapping of your running number or ChampionChip is strictly prohibited.

It is imperative that your ChampionChip and velcro strap are returned at the end of the race.

IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO RUN ON THE DAY OR FAIL TO FINISH
 
If for any reason you are unable to run on the day, or do not complete the race, please return your ChampionChip and Velcro ankle strap to avoid the penalty charge. Simply ensure the ChampionChip envelope is sealed and place in a Post Box. We provide a Freepost returns service for you. If you have disposed of the Freepost envelope just place the chip in any envelope and address to:

If you do not return the ChampionChip and Velcro ankle strap to us you will be charged the replacement cost of £10.00.
 
If you forget your chip on race day, please note that no replacement will be given and therefore your run will not be timed.
